OVERVIEW
Churches Action in Relief and Development (CARD) is a Malawian faith-based non-governmental organization committed to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable communities through sustainable development.
Job Purpose
The Office Assistant will provide administrative and office support services to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized working environment, supporting office administration, and assisting with routine logistical duties.Career counseling services
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the office premises, including offices, meeting rooms, kitchen, and surrounding areas.
- Prepare and serve tea, refreshments, and meals during meetings, workshops, and official events.
- Receive and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Photocopy, scan, file, and organize office documents.
- Deliver and collect documents and parcels within and outside the office as assigned.
- Monitor office, kitchen, and cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Assist in setting up meeting rooms and arranging furniture and equipment for meetings and workshops.
- Support office administrative and logistical activities as required.
- Ensure proper care and safe use of office equipment and property.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent.
- A Certificate in Office Administration or a related field will be an added advantage.
- At least one (1) year of relevant work experience is desirable.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimum supervision.
