OneKhusa is a pioneering Malawian payment gateway that unifies fragmented payment channels into a single, comprehensive platform. Licensed by the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) as a Payment System Operator and a member of NATSWITCH, OneKhusa enables businesses and institutions to seamlessly collect and disburse funds across mobile money, bank cards, and EFT.

We are seeking two dynamic and results-oriented Operations Coordinators to join our team in Blantyre and Lilongwe.

The Operations Coordinator will play a dual role, bridging the gap between internal administrative management and external market growth. You will be responsible for streamlining merchant operations while leading outreach efforts to expand OneKhusa’s footprint across Malawi.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Market Outreach & Adoption: Lead regional efforts to drive app adoption among individuals, SMEs, and NGOs.
  • Merchant Onboarding: Coordinate the end-to-end integration process for new merchants, ensuring a smooth transition to the OneKhusa ecosystem.
  • User Education: Conduct workshops and demonstrations to educate users and businesses on platform features, including transaction reports and digital statements.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to support regional operations, including the preparation and organization of key documentation and reports.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate databases, manage filing systems, and keep organized records of all project documentation.
  • Correspondence Management: Manage internal and external correspondence on behalf of the management team, ensuring timely responses.
  • Scheduling: Maintain an active activities calendar, schedule appointments, and send timely reminders to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic Reporting: Provide weekly updates on market trends, adoption rates, and operational challenges within your assigned region.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Attributes: Highly motivated, tech-savvy, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience needed

  • Experience: Proven experience in business development, administrative coordination.
