Responsibilities or duties

Reporting to the Director – Procurement & Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager – Indirect Category on grade D2 shall be responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of Indirect Procurement by managing category strategies, supplier relationships, tendering processes, procurement planning, and governance requirements. The role ensures efficient acquisition of goods, works, and services for Facilities Management, customer experience & call centre, marketing & sales, Commercial products and devices, corporate services, financial services, legal and compliance services.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing category strategy and planning for indirect procurement.
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure performance and value delivery.
  • Driving cost-competitiveness and value delivery initiatives.
  • Ensuring governance, compliance, and accurate reporting.
  • Providing inventory and logistics support for indirect categories.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Education, Professional and Other Requirements:

  • Chartered Member of CIPS (or progression towards chartered status).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MIPS Membership.
  • Practical experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or logistics.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to engage suppliers and internal stakeholders professionally.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, supply-market analysis, and category management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and coordinate procurement projects within the Indirect category.
  • Knowledge of vendor performance management, innovation sourcing, and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) optimization.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
