Role Summary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the procurement of construction materials, equipment, services, and subcontractor requirements. The role will ensure cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, and compliance with company procurement policies to support project execution across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support construction projects.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and service
    providers.
  • Manage procurement of construction materials, plant, equipment, and services.
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to project sites.
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets and reports.
  • Maintain supplier databases and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant procurement regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and schedules.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as CIPS will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in sourcing construction materials and managing supplier contracts.
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement management systems.
