Background
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Coordinator on grade C1 shall be responsible for providing operational and administrative support by ensuring the timely processing of purchase orders, record maintenance, coordination with suppliers for delivery planning, and supporting customs clearing activities.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conducting procurement planning and administration.
- Processing procurement orders efficiently and accurately.
- Managing customs clearing of imports.
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and reporting requirements are met.
Education, Professional and Other Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Progress toward CIPS certification is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, customs processes, and basic logistics management.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and record-keeping skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ability to work well with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good command of SAP or other procurement/ERP systems (preferred).
- High level of integrity and demonstrated ethical conduct.
Core Competencies:
- Understanding of procurement and logistics frameworks.
- Coordination and follow-up skills.
- Customer-service orientation and teamwork.
- Ability to manage documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
- Records management and ERP proficiency (SAP preferred).
- Basic supplier engagement and issue-resolution capability.
