ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS- Blantyre Branch (1 Position)
Internship Position
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and accounting ledgers.
- Support processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
- Help prepare monthly financial reports and summaries.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assist in filing and organizing financial documents and vouchers.
- Participate in stock/inventory counts and reconciliation exercises.
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist during internal and external audits.
- Respond to financial queries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- Fresh graduate or with up to 1 year of relevant internship experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pastel, or similar) is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
