Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Agriculture Management with technical advice on precision processes to sustain and improve sugarcane production.

Drive the modernization and optimization of farming systems through new engineering innovations to improve yield and production costs.

Support the adoption and embedding of agreed precision agriculture standards, frameworks, and processes across all farms.

Offer specialized engineering support and advice to Grower organizations.

Direct the implementation of key activities, including:

  • Surveying
  • Variable rate application
  • Land use planning
  • Drainage
  • Land preparation
  • Mechanized ratoon maintenance

Manage the selection, design, and coordination of maintenance systems for precision agriculture equipment to ensure reliability.

Ensure all activities strictly adhere to company policies, including:

  • SHERQ
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
  • Competition Law

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical mechanization specialist.
  • Good business acumen and agricultural engineering expertise, with the ability to anticipate and interpret changes impacting the functional area.
