Job Summary & Role Scope

The Primary School Head Teacher will provide strategic leadership, pedagogical guidance, and overall administrative management for Busy Bee Academy. The successful candidate will foster high standards of teaching, learning, discipline, and child welfare while mentoring teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Institutional Leadership: Provide overall strategic leadership and operational management of the primary school.
  • Staff Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise, mentor, evaluate, and motivate teaching and support staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Promote excellence in teaching methodologies, curriculum delivery, student assessment, and child welfare standards.
  • School Administration: Oversee school administration, discipline, safety, and operational efficiency to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Certification: Primary Teaching Certificate from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Teaching Council of Malawi (TCM).
  • Teaching Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, including at least 2 years in an administrative or leadership role within a primary school setting.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated experience working with young children and a strong understanding of Early Childhood Development (ECD) principles.
  • Core Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, administrative, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to mentor staff and maintain school discipline.
