OVERVIEW

Nalikule College of Education is inviting applications from suitably qualified Teachers and Lecturers to work as Part-Time Lecturers for the following courses:

Part-Time Lecturer

  • Teaching & Instruction: Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions in accordance with the approved course syllabus and academic calendar.
  • Lesson Preparation: Prepare and update course materials, including lecture notes, presentations, handouts, and reading lists, ensuring content is current and relevant.
  • Student Assessment: Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, quizzes, practical reports, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Student Support: Provide academic guidance and support to students, including office hours for consultations, mentoring, and tutoring as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress, submitting results to the department within the required timelines.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of course curricula and teaching materials as requested by the Head of Department.
  • Examination Supervision: Supervise examinations and ensure compliance with examination regulations and academic integrity standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on developments in the subject area and teaching methodologies through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with full-time faculty, departmental colleagues, and administrative staff to ensure smooth course delivery.
  • Compliance: Adhere to institutional policies, academic regulations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Student Feedback: Participate in student evaluation processes and use feedback to improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Research (Optional): Engage in research and scholarly activities as appropriate, and contribute to publications or conference presentations if required.
  • Departmental Support: Attend departmental meetings and participate in academic events as requested.
