Fidelis Construction Limited is a fast-growing construction company specializing in building construction, maintenance works, and civil engineering projects across Malawi.
As part of our continued growth, we are inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following position:
PROCUREMENT MANAGER (1)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer
Role Summary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the procurement of construction materials, equipment, services, and subcontractor requirements. The role will ensure cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, and compliance with company procurement policies to support project execution across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
- Manage procurement of construction materials, plant, equipment, and services.
- Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to project sites.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets and reports.
- Maintain supplier databases and evaluate supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and relevant procurement regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and schedules.
- Manage contracts and supplier relationships effectively.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CIPS will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' procurement experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in sourcing construction materials and managing supplier contracts.
- Strong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement management systems.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
