Responsibilities or duties

The Production Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and control of end-to-end brewery production operations, including brewing, packaging, and dispatch functions.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership to the production function, ensuring optimum resource utilisation, high productivity, cost control, and uninterrupted production in line with approved plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The position requires direct leadership and oversight of Production Controllers and production teams, driving performance, discipline, safety, and accountability across all shifts. The Production Coordinator leads continuous improvement initiatives, manages waste and loss reduction, monitors key operational performance indicators, and ensures timely analysis and reporting of variances to management. The successful candidate plays a critical role in aligning production execution with business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Certified Brewmaster qualification (added advantage)
• Strong operational leadership, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Syspro knowledge (added advantage)

Experience needed

Minimum 3 years’ brewery production experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

• Providing strategic and operational leadership to the production function.
