Job Overview

LUANAR invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer, or Staff Associate in Agribusiness Management.

The successful candidate will teach, conduct research, supervise students, provide consultancy services, and contribute to curriculum development and community engagement within the Faculty of Development Studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Agribusiness Management.
• Develop and review course content and academic programmes.
• Conduct research and publish scholarly work.
• Supervise student research projects and dissertations.
• Secure research grants and consultancy opportunities.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship.
• Participate in community outreach and professional development initiatives.
• Serve on university committees and contribute to faculty administration.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Master's degree in Agribusiness Management from a recognized university for appointment at the Assistant Lecturer level.
• A PhD in Agribusiness Management from a recognized university for appointment at the Lecturer level and above.

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least a Credit for Staff Associate applicants.
• Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience.
• Evidence of publications and research funding for Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor appointments.

Terms and Conditions

Initial two-year contract with the possibility of permanent appointment subject to satisfactory performance.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
