Job Overview

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer, or Staff Associate in Human Resource Management.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, consultancy, curriculum development, and community engagement while mentoring students and advancing scholarship in Human Resource Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Human Resource Management.
• Develop and review curriculum and instructional materials.
• Conduct quality research and publish scholarly work.
• Supervise student research and dissertations.
• Develop grant proposals and consultancy projects.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship.
• Participate in outreach programmes and faculty administration.
• Serve on departmental, faculty, and university committees.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Master's degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized university for appointment at the Assistant Lecturer level.
• A PhD in Human Resource Management from a recognized university for appointment at the Lecturer level and above.

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least a Credit for Staff Associate applicants.
• Minimum three (3) years' relevant experience.
• Publications and evidence of attracting research funding for senior academic positions.

Terms and Conditions

Successful candidates will be engaged on an initial two-year contract with the possibility of permanent appointment based on satisfactory performance.
