Overview

Amani Industries Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Inspection

  • Verify expiry dates, batch codes, and supplier documentation.
  • Check for contamination, foreign substances, or decay in raw materials.
  • Inspect packaging integrity of received materials (drums, sacks, cartons, containers).

Production Support

  • Collaborate with Wrapping and Packaging Supervisors to ensure sweets are properly wrapped and sealed.
  • Monitor packaging processes to minimize damages and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Confirm net weights of sweets, packets, and cartons meet requirements.

Packaging Quality Assurance

  • Inspect ball gum packaging bottles for conformity to approved size, shape, and design standards.
  • Conduct random sampling of finished goods to verify consistency in packaging quality.

Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance

  • Ensure sweets are never handled with bare hands during production.
  • Monitor staff compliance with PPE requirements (masks, gloves, protective clothing).
  • Report and address any deviations from hygiene protocols immediately.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare periodic quality reports for management review.
  • Assist in audits and compliance checks with regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
