Overview
Amani Industries Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Inspection
- Verify expiry dates, batch codes, and supplier documentation.
- Check for contamination, foreign substances, or decay in raw materials.
- Inspect packaging integrity of received materials (drums, sacks, cartons, containers).
Production Support
- Collaborate with Wrapping and Packaging Supervisors to ensure sweets are properly wrapped and sealed.
- Monitor packaging processes to minimize damages and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Confirm net weights of sweets, packets, and cartons meet requirements.
Packaging Quality Assurance
- Inspect ball gum packaging bottles for conformity to approved size, shape, and design standards.
- Conduct random sampling of finished goods to verify consistency in packaging quality.
Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance
- Ensure sweets are never handled with bare hands during production.
- Monitor staff compliance with PPE requirements (masks, gloves, protective clothing).
- Report and address any deviations from hygiene protocols immediately.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions.
- Prepare periodic quality reports for management review.
- Assist in audits and compliance checks with regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
