QUALITY ASSURANCE/ QUALITY CONTROL (QA/QC) LEAD

Reporting to the Site Construction Manager, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain the Company’s QA manual, controlling all amendments and revisions.
  • Manage and distribute quality documentation across the project.
  • Monitor all quality-related activities to ensure compliance.
  • Verify contractor quality requirements and review documentation submittals.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate project requirements with bidders.
  • Prepare and control project quality system management documentation prior to commencement.
  • Review qualifications and training requirements of quality inspection personnel.

To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Recognised QA/QC inspection qualifications.
  • 10 years + experience across mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large diverse teams.
  • Technical expertise in mechanical equipment, structural steel, piping, storage tanks, and civil works
  • Strong proficiency in Quality Management System (QMS) implementation, inspection procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to integrate quality governance across mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, and earthworks disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, sampling standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Demonstrated skill in contractor assessments, compliance audits, and construction inspections.

Eligibility:

Only Malawian Citizens will be considered. Candidates must be eligible to work in Malawi. Candidates will be asked to complete a National Police Clearance prior to employment.
