Responsibilities or duties
To manage all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, evaluating tenders, administering contracts, and ensuring value for money throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Prepare project cost estimates and budgets.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings.
- Prepare tender and bidding documents.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations.
- Monitor project costs and cash flow.
- Prepare interim payment certificates.
- Measure completed works.
- Prepare project valuations and final accounts.
- Administer construction contracts.
- Manage project variations and claims.
- Prepare financial reports for management.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications or requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
Professional certification is an added advantage.
Experience needed
Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
