Nyanthepa is a community radio based in Nsanje. Nyanthepa envisions a developed society with citizens that are productively contributing to the development of Nsanje district.
Nyanthepa is looking for a self-motivated, interactive, innovative and enthusiastic person to fill the position of a reporter.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify and research news stories
- Write news stories for radio and online
- Present news stories on air
- Conduct interviews
- Cover live radio eventsEmployer branding solutions
Skills Required
- Ability to present news in Chisena, Chichewa, and English
- Strong ability to write clear news stories for radio and online platforms.
- Ability to conduct thorough interviews with sources
- Strong understanding of sports rules, terminology, and current events.
- Familiarity with audio recording equipment and editing software.
- Critical, scrutinize and Analyze facts and opinions
- Ability to work on tight schedule
- Ability to work in a team
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate or Diploma in Journalism from any recognized institutions.
Experience: Proven experience in news editing, including familiarity with radio broadcasting standards.
Well conversant with Chisena, English, and Chichewa languages.
