Background

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company (LLTC) seeks qualified applicants for a Regional Manager position based in its Agronomy operational areas on full time basis.

Reporting to the Agronomy Manager, the Regional Manager is a key member of the Agronomy team, tasked with managing all agronomy operations for LLTC in the operational area in compliance with annual strategic plan.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Crop management through Area Managers including planning, extension services, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Social Responsibility Programs (SRP)
  • Financial management (budget, cash management, financial reporting and control)
  • Team leadership for the operational team
  • Health and safety for the operational team
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Project management

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies

  • Degree or higher from a recognised Agriculture Institution or its equivalent.
  • At least 10 years work experience in an operational role with farmer engagement.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s licence.
  • Well organised with great analytical and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • In depth knowledge of tobacco production with proven experience delivering contracted volumes and managing large complex teams.
  • Demonstratable experience in using continuous improvement principals to drive performance in teams
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving stated objectives in work settings.
  • Demonstratable experience driving health and safety in working teams
  • Must be computer proficient with all Microsoft related software packages.
