? Position Summary:
Research Assistants/Enumerators will support quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, transcription, and data quality assurance under the supervision of the study co-investigator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative data collection using mobile tools such as ODK, Kobo, SurveyCTO, tablets, and smartphones
- Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and In-Depth Interviews (IDIs)
- Support recruitment of study participants according to study protocols
- Transcribe audio-recorded interviews accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with research ethics, confidentiality, and informed consent procedures
- Participate in training sessions, pilot testing, and daily debrief meetings
- Submit completed data and field reports within required timelines
- Report field challenges to the supervisor promptly
? Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Demography, Sociology, or related field
- Proven experience in public health or social science research data collection
- Proficiency in electronic/mobile data collection tools
- Strong communication and interviewing skills
- Experience in qualitative data transcription
- Familiarity with adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health is an added advantage
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary research team
Added Advantages:
- Experience conducting research in public health facilities or with government stakeholders
- Training in research ethics or human subjects protection
Duration:
This is a short-term, project-based engagement aligned with the study data collection period.
