Responsibilities or duties
- As a SHEQ Coordinator, you ensure that safety, health, environment and quality become an integral part of the unit operations standards through leadership, support and direction on SHEQ issues to the unit management and staff
- You are the key in championing company and regional SHEQ initiatives at the unit and support unit management in the development; implementation of an integrated SHEQ management system and support unit management in the development
- Identify and develop the SHEQ Competency Matrix for the unit and ensure the competencies are achieved through relevant development and training
- Perform audits of SHEQ compliance and support unit management to close out audit findings, as well as participate in the company SHEQ integrated auditing process as required
- Ensure SHEQ Best Operating Practices are adopted and implemented in business units
- Support site management to manage and maintain all international and local standards programmes, including but not limited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHS 18001, Medicines Control Council (MCC) certification for Medical Gases and SANAS approval for Cylinder Test Shops
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
You possess a school leaving certificate with a tertiary technical or SHEQ related qualification
Experience needed
Further you have gained 2 years of experience in SHEQ from the Gas or Production industry operations including SHEQ Legal requirements, auditing methods and standards, ISO standard
Experienced and knowledgeable of quality management systems is an added advantage.
