Good People International (GPI) Malawi Branch is seeking a qualified SRHR Comprehensive Sexuality Education Educator to strengthen sexual and reproductive health and self-determination rights among upper-grade primary school girls in Thyolo District.

This project targets upper primary learners in Makandi areas in Thyolo District and aims to promote a safe and healthy sexual and reproductive health environment within the surrounding communities.

1. Position Title

SRHR Comprehensive Sexuality Education Educator

2. Key Responsibilities

1) School-Based SRHR Education (Makandi & Milonga Primary Schools)

Deliver Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) to Grade 6–7 learners

(4 sessions per grade; approximately 12-15 sessions in total)

Core topics include:

Puberty, menstruation & hygiene, sexual rights & consent, understanding pregnancy & childbirth, HIV/STI prevention, gender equality, violence prevention, digital safety, and life skills

Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and analyze learning outcomes

2) SRHR Emergency Response Education

Facilitate crisis recognition, immediate action steps, reporting, and referral pathways

Support development and dissemination of SRHR emergency response brochures

Conduct school- and community-based emergency response education

3) Development of Training Materials & Reporting

Review and utilize educational materials (brochures, posters, handouts)

Submit session reports for each training conducted

4) Collaboration With Schools, Parents, and Community

Work closely with Mother Groups and Girls’ Clubs at each school

Support community leader and parent workshops related to SRHR and adolescent protection

3. Qualifications

Required

Degree or professional experience in Public Health, Counselling, Education, Social Work, or related fields

Minimum 2 years of experience in SRHR, HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, or child rights

Experience teaching children and adolescents

Fluency in Chichewa and English

Strong interpersonal and safe-communication skills

Ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines

Understanding of local culture and community dynamics in Malawi

Preferred

Experience facilitating SRHR education with DHO, CHAM, or health-sector NGOs

Completion of CSE (Comprehensive Sexuality Education) certified training

Experience working in community-based development programs

Training or experience in child safeguarding, GBV, or protection-related fields

4. Working Conditions

Contract Type: Fixed-Term, Part-Time Contract

Position: Contract-based CSE Educator

Duty Station: Makandi area, Thyolo District (near Chiradzulu TTC)

Contract Period: September 2026 – November 2026

Duration: Three (3) months

Working Schedule:

The Educator will work only on scheduled education and program activity days.

The schedule will be arranged according to school and program requirements.

Each education session will generally be less than 90 minutes.

Working time will generally not exceed 2 hours per scheduled day, excluding preparation where applicable.

Lesson preparation may be conducted remotely upon prior agreement with GPI.

Remuneration:

The remuneration rate will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience in accordance with GPI’s applicable remuneration criteria.

Payment will be made based on the number of sessions actually completed.

Benefits and Logistics:

Housing and transportation are not provided.

Any statutory benefits, where applicable, will be handled in accordance with applicable Malawi laws and regulations.

Performance and Attendance:

The Educator is expected to attend all agreed sessions punctually and perform the assigned duties in accordance with GPI standards.

Repeated lateness, unauthorized absence, or unsatisfactory performance may constitute grounds for termination in accordance with the terms of the contract.
