Science Teacher

• Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Prepare and teach lessons aligned with the national or school curriculum, covering topics like biology, chemistry, or physics.
• Conduct Experiments and Demonstrations: Plan and oversee hands-on lab activities to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop students' scientific inquiry skills, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Teach Scientific Concepts: Present scientific principles and theories in a way that is accessible and meaningful to students, using a variety of instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Manage the Lab Environment: Prepare lab setups, ensure equipment is functional, and maintain a safe and productive learning environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Education.
• Registered with the Teachers Council of Malawi.
• 2–3 years’ teaching experience at secondary school level.
• Training/experience in Special Needs Education is an added advantage.
• Applicants should be from the Northern Region and willing to relocate/live within school premises.

DUTIES:

• Teach assigned subject(s) in line with the secondary school curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, learner centred lessons.
• Assess learner performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate academic records.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Support learners’ academic, social, and personal development.
• Participate in examinations, school programmes, meetings, and co curricular activities.
