SEASONAL BLENDING & THRESHING SUPERVISOR

Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited is seeking a qualified, experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Seasonal Blending & Threshing Supervisor in Lilongwe.

Overall Job Function

Reporting to the Processing Shift Coordinator, the Seasonal Blending & Threshing Supervisor will be responsible for supervising blending & threshing lines in order to produce a threshed product and by-products that meet/exceed customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of Threshing Operators, Blending, NTRM and Offal & Stem Dumping foremen
• Responsible for optimization of processing efficiencies meeting specified throughputs, optimizing lines for tolerable standard deviations, yield targets & NCP reduction to set targets
• Controls utilization of consumables
• Monitoring and reporting of threshing operational performance
• Implement Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality programs and other safe working policies.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate should at least have the following qualifications and experience:

• A minimum of a Diploma in any of the disciplines of Mechanical or Electrical from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of two years’ work experience in a tobacco processing factory
• Highly self-motivated individual with demonstrable ability to work under high pressure
• Must be flexible and willing to work under demanding circumstances
• Must have excellent communication, data analytical and supervisory skills
• Working on shifts without supervision.

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: associate degree
