PACT North Park Secondary School is a reputable boarding and day Secondary School invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated candidates to fill the position of Secondary School Secretary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must possess a Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Must have high speed typing skills of not less than 60-80 words per minute
- Proven experience in typing secondary school examinations, including Tables, Graphics, Charts and graphs
- Computer literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during examination periods
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism
Duties and responsibilities
- Typing, formatting, and preparing school examinations
- Photocopying and securely handling examination materials
- Ensuring the machine room is properly equipped and all machines are functional and well maintained so that examinations should be administered according to set examination time table
- Receiving and assisting visitors, including parents seeking boarding or day school places for their children.
- Placing orders for school uniforms and ensuring that delivery is in good time.
- Receiving uniforms from suppliers and maintaining proper records
- Distributing uniforms to students
- Organizing meetings for Directors and Teachers, and PTA meetings
- Performing general administrative and clerical duties
- Managing correspondence, filling systems, student records, and office documentation
- Carrying out any other duties normally expected of a Secondary School Secretary in a private boarding and day school
Key Competency
- Excellent high-speed typing skills are mandatory.
