St John Boys Catholic Secondary School, an educational institution located in Lilongwe City under the Archdiocese of Lilongwe seeks the services of a dynamic, well-qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of part time Science Teachers for 3 months.

Job Purpose

As a Science Teacher, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Principal and will be responsible for;

Responsibilities or duties

• Competently preparing lessons for Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture and Mathematics, subjects.
• Teaching Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture and Mathematics, subjects
• Compiling reports in students’ academic performance in your teaching subjects.
• Working together with all staff members in assisting students in their day-to-day extracurricular activities.

Qualifications or requirements 

The successful candidates should have a minimum of Diploma in Education majoring in Chemistry or Biology, or Agriculture or Mathematics and any other minor subject and those with a Degree in Education will have an added advantage.

• Must have strong work ethic and committed to educating a child holistically.
• Mature individual with strong planning and organizational skills.
• A self-starter who is able to work under minimal supervision and sometimes at odd hours.
• Have strong intra and interpersonal skills.
• Must be computer literate (MS Office, Excel).
• Ability to communicate clearly both when speaking and writing in English
• Unquestionable professional integrity, discretion, and judgment

Experience needed

5 to 10 years minimum teaching experience in the Malawi Secondary School Curriculum in the specified subject area.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: associate degree
