NBS Bank Plc Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position, tenable at the Blantyre Service Centre.
Responsibilities or duties
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and implement annual, monthly, and weekly operating plans in line with business objectives.
- Manage and nurture customer relationships to drive customer retention and acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and operational procedures, including risk and cash management controls.
- Oversee staff performance, staffing levels, and training needs, ensuring excellent customer service standards across the branch.
- Monitor branch financial performance, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to achieve set targets.
- Manage credit applications, conduct site visits, monitor bad debts and overdrafts, and engage clients to regularise accounts.
- Safeguard bank assets by ensuring adequate cash management, security measures, and maintaining branch ambience in line with brand standards.
- Provide input into budgeting and resource planning, monitor variances, and drive cost containment measures.
- Represent the branch at business functions, exhibitions, and community events to promote products and services.
- Manage overall risk within the Service Centre in line with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certification in Retail Banking will be an added advantage.
