Overview

When the Saints Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and committed individuals for the position of Standard 8 Teacher.

Key Requirements

  • Certificate in Education from a recognized institution (a Diploma in Education will be an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven teaching experience, preferably teaching Standard 8, with traceable references.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare learners for the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations with good academic results.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong classroom management and learner-centered teaching skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the Malawi Primary School Curriculum and syllabus.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be honest, hardworking, self-motivated, and of high moral character.
  • Must be a born-again Christian with values that align with the school’s mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare learners for the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations.
  • Prepare quality lesson plans, schemes of work, records of work, and continuous assessment records.
  • Manage the classroom using learner-centered teaching approaches.
  • Implement the Malawi Primary School Curriculum and syllabus effectively.
  • Prepare learners for the Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations.
  • Prepare quality lesson plans, schemes of work, records of work, and continuous assessment records.
