Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supermarket Data Analyst to help drive business decisions through data-driven insights. The successful candidate will analyze sales trends, inventory movement, customer behavior, and operational performance to improve profitability and efficiency across supermarket operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify stock shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for management.
  • Track product performance and pricing trends.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning.
  • Identify customer purchasing patterns and shopping behavior.
  • Work with procurement and finance teams to optimize stock management.
  • Develop KPIs for store performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain reporting databases.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in retail or supermarket analytics is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of retail KPIs and customer analytics.
