THE ROLE
We are seeking a Temporary Finance & Compliance Officer to provide immediate operational support across financial reporting, payroll administration, and statutory compliance.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. It does not carry managerial authority or independent approval powers. The successful candidate must be ready to perform from day one, meet deadlines without excuses, and operate within strict compliance controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting reports
- Support monthly financial closing and reporting processes
- Execute statutory compliance tasks (PAYE, VAT, pensions, TEVETA, MRA)
- Support payroll processing, validations, and reconciliations
- Compile audit files, compliance packs, and statutory documentation
- Maintain accurate, orderly, and audit-ready financial records
- Escalate errors, risks, or compliance gaps immediately
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ICAM membership or student membership is an advantage
- Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in finance, payroll, or compliance roles
- Practical exposure to statutory filings and payroll administration
- High attention to detail and deadline discipline
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
WORK EXPECTATIONS
- Full-time office presence during official working hours
- Strict confidentiality and professional conduct
- Zero tolerance for missed deadlines or compliance errors
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This is a temporary engagement intended to meet immediate operational needs. Renewal or extension is not guaranteed and will be strictly performance- and business-dependent.
