Core Responsibilities & Duties

Payment Processing: Scanning items, operating POS (Point of Sale) systems, and processing cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.

Cash Management: Counting the float at the start of the shift, ensuring accuracy, and balancing the cash drawer upon closing.

Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering queries, handling complaints, and providing a positive checkout experience.

Merchandise Handling: Scanning, weighing, and packing items; removing security tags.

Transactions & Records: Processing refunds, exchanges, returns, and issuing receipts.

Operational Tasks: Maintaining a clean, organized checkout area and restocking shelves or merchandise near the till.

Key Requirements

Accuracy: High attention to detail for managing cash and pricing.

Speed: Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume environments.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using electronic cash registers, scanners, and card terminals.

Those with past experience working in a similar shops have an added advantage

4pm investments is situated in Lilongwe bypass and it does not provide additional transport apart from the agreed package
