The Organizing Committee for the 2026 Malawi National Youth Summit is thrilled to announce a call for volunteers to support the delivery of this flagship event. As Malawi’s largest youth policy platform, established in 2024 to drive youth development, the Summit will bring together approximately 1,000 delegates, including young people, policymakers, development partners, and private-sector representatives. Together, they will deliberate on issues affecting Malawian youth; assess the performance of youth-related policies and programmes; examine the state of youth empowerment, engagement, and development across economic sectors; and identify actionable pathways—including policy options—to accelerate youth empowerment and maximize young people’s contribution to national socio-economic transformation in alignment with Malawi 2063, the national vision.
This year’s Summit, held under the theme “Accelerating Progress: Reflecting on Impact, Expanding Prospects for Youth Development in Malawi,” will take place from August 18–20, 2026, at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The programme features a rich array of sessions, including an opening ceremony, keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, high-level roundtables, mentorship sessions, exhibitions, and a closing ceremony. Additional highlights include the Youth Impact and Leadership Awards, the International Youth Day Commemoration, and immersive Youth Experience Activation activities.
