Key Responsibilities
Access Control & Physical Security Integrity
- Enforce “Dual Control” protocols, ensuring no single person has unescorted access to the vault.
- Identity Authentication: Verify the clearance level of all personnel and CIT crews using biometric or documentary evidence before granting entry.
- System Monitoring: Ensure all vault mechanical locks, electronic codes, and alarm sensors are functional; report any security vulnerabilities immediately.
Inventory Management & Audit Compliance
- Meticulous Record Keeping: Maintain real-time ledgers of all movements (deposits, withdrawals, and transit shifts).
- Discrepancy Detection: Conduct daily physical “wall-to-wall” counts of all cash boxes, bullion, and valuables to reconcile against the system balance.
- Audit Trail Management: Ensure all “Waybills” and “Seal Numbers” are archived and retrievable for snap audits by G4S Risk or external banking partners.
Deposit & Withdrawal Processing
- Inward Verification: Receive and inspect all incoming bags/containers for seal integrity and accurate documentation.
- Outward Dispatch: Process withdrawal requests only upon receipt of authenticated “Authorization to Release” documents.
- Asset Handling: Organize vault space to ensure the “First-In, First-Out” (FIFO) principle is applied where necessary and to prevent damage to assets.
Daily Reporting & Reconciliation
- Financial Reporting: Generate end-of-day (EOD) reports summarizing vault holdings and transaction volumes for Management.
- Zero-Variance Goal: Investigate and resolve any reconciliation errors before the close of business.
Candidate Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Primary Qualification: A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or Business Administration. (A strong foundation in bookkeeping is essential).
- Professional certification in Risk Management or Security Management is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Exceptional command of arithmetic and the ability to handle high-volume currency counting without error.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Workspace for digital record-keeping and reporting.
- Ability to detect forged signatures, tampered seals, or inconsistent documentation at a glance.
- Must demonstrate “Sober Habits” and the ability to maintain 100% confidentiality regarding vault protocols.
Operational Demands
- Ability to handle and move heavy cash boxes and equipment when required.
- Absolute willingness to work extended shifts, and public holidays to meet the banking sector’s operational timelines.
