Background

Mamaland, a Mota-Engil Group company, is dedicated to the development and maintenance of sustainable systems through a more inclusive approach, with the aim of generating Prosperity for the Planet and for People. The MoRe Project is a large-scale initiative, with an expected duration of 40 years, focused on forest restoration and sustainable development in Malawi. The project aims to restore 555,000 hectares of degraded land through reforestation, agroforestry, and assisted natural regeneration, while promoting the active involvement of local communities. Through this approach, MoRe seeks to generate long-lasting environmental, social, and economic benefits, contributing to ecological resilience and the well-being of populations.

Role description: Programming

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and inventory accuracy. They are involved in planning, organizing, and controlling daily activities, including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and distribution of products. Additionally, they ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and implement continuous improvements in logistics processes. They act as a liaison between the operational team and management, fostering team development and resolving operational issues.

Main responsibilities:

Experience and qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent technical qualification;

Education

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse operations;
  • Knowledge of inventory management, occupational health and safety standards, and warehouse logistics;
  • Knowledge of MS Office and SAP tools;
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;

Planning and organization

  • Proficiency in English is essential;
  • A valid international driving license is preferred;
  • Availability for mobility.
  • Manage and supervise the warehouse team, promoting development, training, and motivation;
  • Ensure correct receipt, storage, dispatch, and inventory of products;
  • Monitor and optimize logistics processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors;
  • Ensure quality control of unloaded materials;
  • Manage the human resources under their responsibility;
